) husband...i read this book right after we got married..."power of a praying wife" by stormie o'martian...it's about praying to make a relationship stronger...and how to change to be more peaceful...just a "good wife"--i guess subserviant in some way. anyway..i have prayed for our relationship since we've gotten married...but about a week ago, joel and i were arguing...nay...bickering about everything...finances...sex...buying a house...children...religion...seriously everything. i went into "his" room and got into bed...like i was punishing him or something...and he came in...and we talked it out. but right before he came in...i was praying. anyway...not going to bore you on all the details...but i was praying on becoming more understanding and more tollerent of him...and i had a thought. "pick your battles" my mom said that as a piece of advice just before the wedding...it made me feel good. i told joel that i was sorry...and that since we are in our first year of marriage, we have to work extra hard to recognize that we are pushing each other's buttons. blah blah blah. anyway. i love joel. so. so. so. much.
